Kevin Hawkes was born in Texas and educated at Utah State University. After a short stint as a bookseller in Boston, he dedicated himself to true passion – illustrating children’s books. He has illustrated over forty books for young people, including a Newbery Award winner, a Horn Book Award nominee, and dozens of New York Times bestsellers. He lives with his wife and children in Southern Maine.
