William Gass

William Gass was born in Fargo, North Dakota in 1924 and was educated at Kenyon College, Ohio Wesleyan, and Cornell. He has taught philosophy at Purdue University and at Washington University (St. Louis). His books include the novel Omensetter's Luck, the novella Willie Masters' Lonely Wife, two volumes of criticism, Fiction and the Figures of Life and The World Within the Word, and On Being Blue: A Philosophical Inquiry.
