Nii Ayikwei Parkes is a Ghanaian-British publisher, performance poet, broadcaster, essayist, children’s book author, and novelist. As a poet, Parkes has appeared at readings all over the world, including the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, New York; the Royal Festival Hall, London; and Java, Paris. Tail of the Blue Bird has been translated into eight languages. He now lives in Manchester, England.
